I feel like I’ve seen real books with this name on shelves that preach the ability to cure you of your public speaking phobia and climb the corporate ladder in just three easy steps. In reality, not the best- in D&D, this thing is a must-have for the Charisma casters out there!

Where the Manuals boost your physical body, the Tomes are here to boost up your maximum and current mental scores. The Tome of Clear Thought mainly serves artificers and wizards a way to further expand their spellcasting, making it something basically every member of those classes wants.

A Sword of Sharpness is a fantastic boon for upper-tier swordsmen who are tired of rolling dice and just want to say the same number over and over again. Chop off some limbs, and get to slashing! 

This handy stick comes with a toolbox full of lightning and thunder-based effects. You get lightning, thunder, lightning strike, thunderclap, and thunder and lightning (should you want to do those two specific effects at the same time). You get one use of each per day; choose wisely when to use them! 

Are you a Monk or Druid in the market for a better staff? Most magic staffs are aimed at wizards and warlocks who cast spells through them- the Staff of Striking is made for characters that actually want to smash with their stick! 

The ultimate spellcaster probably can’t take that title without a Staff of Power. It's the upper-tier spellcaster item you want, providing you with an insane amount of abilities. I’m truly baffled that this thing isn’t legendary given how outrageously powerful it is!

Some characters you build to embody a specific element. A winter wizard decked out in a comfy, fluffy robe who harnesses the power of ice and snow to freeze their enemies in place sounds fantastic to me, and this Staff is for the person who wants to go all in on that fantasy. Its also just a super-powerful expansion of resources should an average adventuring party stumble across it. If you find one, it's reason enough to celebrate.

Some people just want to stick to the classic archetypes- I’m sometimes one of those people. Sometimes I just want to be a wizard with a pointy blue hat, a giant book of spells, and a staff that blows things up. The Staff of Fire is here for me in those moments.

Advantage on saving throws against spells is a massive boon to martial characters in the upper tiers. This single item can take your character from constantly debilitated by enemy magic to getting to kick the crap out of that spellcasting bully who tried to take over your mind! 

If you’re tired of needing two weapons to fight using Two-Weapon Fighting, boy, do I have the scimitar for you! This simple d6 weapon comes with some bonuses to hit, the magic tag, and none of the drawbacks normally associated with two-weapon fighting. Huzzah! 

More like Rod of Tropical Vacation, am I right? With a Rod of Security, you and your fellow party members can get some well deserved time-off and rest. With 200 days to split among you, you’ll have no trouble finding a month of downtime in your ideal environment sculpted to your exact specifications. What a dream! 

If you’re sick and tired of going last in initiative, maybe you should seek out a Rod of Alertness. This handy dandy detection stick offers a myriad of nifty detection methods on top of being able to create bubbles of safety to bolster your party’s defenses.  

The Rod of Absorption is one of D&D’s most busted magic items. It gives you free Counterspells stapled to a magical battery you can tap into to fuel your own magic- if you can get ahold of one as a spellcaster, you’re in for a great time. 

With a Robe of Stars, you’ve got nearly everything you need not just to gaze at them but to be floating alongside D&D’s celestial bodies in the wild Astral Plane. Most games will find its mainly just a 5th-level Magic Missile battery, and that’s still pretty stellar if you ask me.

The Sorcerer class is easily in the top 5 classes overall already, meaning you could play one with no support from magic items whatsoever and be perfectly fine. That being said, I encourage DMs to give out cool stuff anyway, because everyone loves getting cool stuff.

The class most known for pilfering magical wonders also happens to be the one that needs their help the most. Rogue is one of the weakest classes in the game due to low damage output, weak defenses, and easily replicated utility.

For the longest time, Rangers had a secret weakness of there being only one magic bow in the entire game; the Oathbow. This problem has been recently solved in a major way, with plenty of magical bows and crossbows for your DM to choose from.

The Robe of Scintillating Colors dazzles everything around you as you flourish- you are the center of attention and deserve your moment in the spotlight. You’re stunning while attuned to this magnificent garment! 

I adore this stupid little ring. Telekinesis is a blast to play with, and this gives it to you at will, but with the stipulation that you can’t move creatures. There is still plenty of fun to be had here, even if you can’t launch creatures into space with your mind! 

Some rings grant you +1 AC or a small boon to some kind of ability checks; a Ring of Shooting Stars gives you a battery to blast enemies with electrical energy and explosions. I’ll take one of these over a Ring of Protection any day of the week!
