Weapon of Warning 5e
Weapon (any), uncommon (requires attunement)
This magic weapon warns you of danger. While the weapon is on your person, you have advantage on initiative rolls. In addition, you and any of your companions within 30 feet of you can't be surprised, except when incapacitated by something other than nonmagical sleep. The weapon magically awakens you and your companions within range if any of you are sleeping naturally when combat begins.

Are you a fan of Sting, the magical dagger from Lord of the Rings that glows when orcs are nearby? You might want to seek out a Weapon of Warning, which serves a similar role in alerting you and your allies to incoming danger!
Being unable to be surprised equates to having assurance you can act in the first round of combat. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll see the enemies coming, nor that you’re safe from ambushes outright.
Advantage on initiative rolls can help give you an explosive opening in fights consistently.
Whenever you’ve got one of these, make sure the group stays within 30 feet of each other when resting, even if there are some doors and walls between you. The weapon will wake creatures up regardless of what’s between it and them so long as they’re in range.
