Boots of Speed 5e
Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)
While you wear these boots, you can use a bonus action and click the boots' heels together. If you do, the boots double your walking speed, and any creature that makes an opportunity attack against you has disadvantage on the attack roll. If you click your heels together again, you end the effect.
When the boots' property has been used for a total of 10 minutes, the magic ceases to function until you finish a long rest.

If you’re trying to break the land speed record in D&D, Boots of Speed are a must. Doubling your speed is an easy way to cross crazy distances quickly, making these a must for melee-ranged characters who want to smash into their enemies immediately.
Ten minutes equates to one hundred rounds. That’s more rounds than many small campaigns will play.
The speed augments specifically walking speed; fly and climb speeds aren’t affected by the bonus action heel-click.
Out of combat, spending 10 minutes with double speed can help outrun a fleeing enemy or catch up with the party, but normally still won’t be entirely used up. You can reliably use these basically as much as you need without worry in the majority of tables.
