While you wear these boots, you can use an action to cast the Levitate spell on yourself at will.

Simple, concise, and lovely to play with, the Boots of Levitation are for people who want to work for their flight. You get to bounce around off of surfaces and lift yourself up and down as needed, leading to a dynamic and spectacular means of exploring vertically.

Levitate does require concentration, meaning you can’t concentrate on other effects if you want to use these boots to float around.
Losing concentration only results in a gently, lofty descent, making it actually a bit safer to use in combat than something like Fly can be.
If you and your gear collectively weigh over 500 pounds, Levitate can’t affect you.
