Wand of Lightning Bolts 5e
Wand, rare (requires attunement by a Spellcaster)
This wand has 7 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast the Lightning Bolt spell (save DC 15) from it. For 1 charge, you cast the 3rd-level version of the spell. You can increase the spell slot level by one for each additional charge you expend.
The wand regains 1d6 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the wand's last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the wand crumbles into ashes and is destroyed.

Like its Fireball brother, the Wand of Lightning Bolts gives you a weapon of mass destruction capable of leveling foes with a flick of your wrist!
Wands are arcane focuses, and yew wands are druidic focuses, making them potential spell focuses for any class outside artificer, paladin, and cleric.
When casting spells with magic items, you don’t need to provide any spell components, but you do need to concentrate on the effects if they require concentration. Unlike many other magic items, you can up-cast spells using this item for 1 charge per up-cast spell level.
Generally, you want to avoid up-casting Lightning Bolts with this, as for the same charge cost you can get a whole extra 3rd level bolt, coming with a full 8d6 bonus damage as opposed to the 1d6 bonus damage from up-casting.
When possible, save 1 charge in this wand; it crumbling to dust loses a precious and powerful resource you want to keep going as long as you can.
