Slippers of Spider Climbing 5e
Wondrous Item, uncommon (requires attunement)
While you wear these light shoes, you can move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings, while leaving your hands free. You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. However, the slippers don't allow you to move this way on a slippery surface, such as one covered by ice or oil.

A cozy bedroom shoe meets active adventure-wear- Slippers of Spider Climbing are for the adventurer who wants the comfort of home without forgoing the magic of a 2nd level spell-like ability.
Spider Climb’s text differs from the Slippers of Spider Climbing in one meaningful way: liquids. The Spider Climb spell doesn’t specify you can’t move on slippery surfaces, whereas the Slippers actively prevent you from having the option.
Attunement means the whole party can’t pass these around to get their ability. Only one person at a time can be attuned to them.
When moving, characters can swap between their various speeds. Doing so functionally reduces the speed they’re able to spend in the switched-to speed by how far they’ve traveled using the prior speed.
For example, a character with a 30 ft. ground speed spends 10 feet approaching a wall. With the Slippers, they also have a 30 ft. climb speed.
They start to climb, subtracting the 10 feet they’ve moved this turn from their 30 ft. climb speed, allowing them the ability to traverse up to 20 feet up.
If they climb to the top, and it's only 15 feet, they can switch back to their walking speed at the top, subtracting the climbed 15 feet from their 20 ft. pool of walk speed, meaning they have 5 feet left to move walking.
