Oil of Sharpness 5e
Potion, very rare
This clear, gelatinous oil sparkles with tiny, ultrathin silver shards. The oil can coat one slashing or piercing weapon or up to 5 pieces of slashing or piercing ammunition. Applying the oil takes 1 minute. For 1 hour, the coated item is magical and has a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls.

If you’re looking for murder juice, look no further. Oil of Sharpness greased onto a weapon turns it into a highly efficient murder weapon that will seem to always hit its mark.
The oil doesn’t limit what kinds of slashing or piercing weapons and ammunition it can be applied to; the rules area around it is a bit grey as to whether or not it stacks with +1 weapons base bonuses, though, so I’d talk to your DM prior to using it.
You can’t apply the oil to a bow to amplify all of its attacks; you have to apply it to its ammunition.
Magical ammunition does stack modifiers with +1 or higher magic bows, meaning arrows coated with Oil of Sharpness will add +3 to hit on top of whatever bonuses your bow normally would offer you.
The ammunition doesn’t lose the oil’s property after firing but has a 50% chance of being lost when fired.
Each Oil of Sharpness gives you a single coating denoted in the description; once you coat one weapon or five pieces of ammunition, you’re out!
