Dagger of Venom 5e
Weapon (dagger), rare
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
You can use an action to cause thick, black poison to coat the blade. The poison remains for 1 minute or until an attack using this weapon hits a creature. That creature must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 2d10 poison damage and become poisoned for 1 minute. The dagger can't be used this way again until the next dawn.
Proficiency with a dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

Why this isn’t a “venom dagger” is beyond me; that being said, if you’re a rogue and want a way to kill people with poison and stabbing, look no further! This is the item for you!
This weapon is magical, meaning it bests non-magical weapon resistance.
I have no idea why they printed the line “Proficiency with a dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.” That’s just how proficiency works.
Basic Poison works in the same way as far as coating a weapon and applying it to a single attack, but only comes with a bonus d4 damage and no poison condition.
