Wildroot 5e
by Prince Phantom
Found in the jungles of Chult in the book Tomb of Annihilation is a potent little plant named Wildroot. Introducing Wildroot to the bloodstream of a poisoned creature immediately removes the condition from that creature and renders the Wildroot unusable for future treatments. In a vacuum, this is a great way to remove the poisoned condition while out of combat, as it’s reasonable for your DM to say that treating the poison this way requires too much precision to be done during combat.
However, you can easily abuse this item in combination with the many plants and substances that grant buffs like condition immunities while also threatening to impose the poisoned condition. Simply taking a dose of Wildroot after one of those substances allows you to completely bypass their downsides, making this an easily abusable option.
Conjuration Wizards can make especially easy use of this, using Minor Conjuration to create something like Black Sap which grants immunity to charm and frighten effects, then conjuring Wildroot to remove the poisoned condition. You can then proceed to do this for your entire party. For DMs, this is a neat option for a reward for your party, and can definitely be a believable option for sale at many towns. It has no listed price in any book, but I would value it at around 10gp.
