Guile of the Cloud Giant 5e
Prerequisite: 4th Level, Strike of the Giants (Cloud Strike) Feat
You’ve manifested the confounding magic emblematic of cloud giants, granting you the following benefits:
Ability Score Increase. Increase your Strength, Constitution, or Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
Cloudy Escape. When a creature you can see hits you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to give yourself resistance to that attack’s damage. You then teleport to an unoccupied space that you can see within 30 feet of yourself. You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Misty Step is obtainable through Fey Touched with an Ability Score Increase. I adore Fey Touched, as it also comes with a free 1st level spell. Guile of the Cloud Giant offers you a trade; one to five extra uses of a Misty Step-like ability for the 1st level spell. I will absolutely make that trade every chance I get.
Cloudy Escape is exactly the kind of feature I want to see on melee based martial characters. It gives them some utility in world exploration and infiltration while being a great repositioning and disengage tool in fights. A 30 ft. teleport attached to your reaction gives you so much extra stuff to do- what’s not to love?
Well, the prerequisite. Cloud Strike is cool and all, but I’m not convinced it’s worth an entire feat on its own. If you love this kind of ability, it may be just enough to justify working towards this, especially if you’ve got an odd ability score you want to bump up for that extra modifier. I could envision rogues, rangers, monks, paladins, and fighters who all play quite differently, and would love this effect. What limits down those builds are the ones that also are excited to spend a feat on some Divine Favor strikes with a small amount of upside.
